Ok, so my boss was supposed to call me tonight from korea... he was supposed to let me know when I'm going to be working.... I thought that I was going to have to work tonight... but I guess maybe that won't be happening... that kinda sucks because I guess this kinda counts as one of my days off... And I missed wendy's Oscar party... oh well... what can you do? When live gives you lemons.... bah! Go suck a lemon!

RatFang goes bump in the night!
Guess who's going to be working nights starting sunday? It's me, it's me! My boss is going to be in Korea so I'll be working later hours so that we can "co-ordinate"... it'll be kinda interesting... I'll probably be the only one in the office... maybe I'll blast some loud music, put my feet up on the desk, make forts out of the furniture... the possibilities are endless! I'm almost excited about it just because I've been in such a rut recently... although, that might be because of work... hmmm... now all that I have to do is convince jen to start teaching her grade 1's at night... shouldn't be too hard, right? ;)

I'm eating lunch now... pizza pockets... FREE pizza pockets... I'm beginning to get more comfortable with eating the free food here... I had dinner here on tuesday night (woah, I thought it was wednesday until just now!)...they provide free dinner every night at 6:30 for the people who stay late... and I had a bagel with cheese wiz for breakfast this morning... I haven't bought groceries in a long time! :)
I didn't post yesterday because I was to tired and lazy... I worked a 14.5 hour day on tuesday... it really sucked... I would like to sleep at least 12 hours/day but that's not usually possible... it seems that all I've been doing this week is working and sleeping... so tired...
Luckily, because of the long hours I'm putting in this week, I'll get a day or two off next week... unfourtunately, that will be spent working on a project for school, but whatever, it's a day at home!
Oh well, I'm off to see what's happened to Petunia since yesterday...

I don't even really feel like posting today... too tired... but I will just because I haven't for a while... it's actually kinda sad that this has become an obligation... but whatever...
...had a good weekend, thanks to everyone that contributed... didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked though... hence me being tired today.... oh, here's something odd... got to work this morning and saw a guy literally rappelling down the side of the building next to my work! Really odd... especially since it's snowing... I wonder what he was trying to accomplish...

I don't know if anyone else has been having problems with Blogger in the past couple of days.... yesterday, my posts weren't showing up until about 15 min after I posted them... and today, I posted something and then an extra, blank post appeared...
On my way to work this morning, I heard this story on the radio about someone being cheap... on thing mentioned in the story was that two people got engaged and it didn't work out... but the girl kept the ring... now, it may just be me... but I don't think that's right... an engagement ring isn't like a regular gift, it's like a symbol of a commitment... I don't think that the girl should get to keep the ring if things don't work out (unless she paid for it in the first place which is also wrong)... Does this happen often?
BTW- the point of the story is that her next guy was so cheap that they re-used the old ring for their engagement...

I'm tired of people... everyone should always behave the way I want them to without me having to tell them... is that so much to ask? :P
bah! I wrote an entry a while ago, and just realized that it never got published... that sucks... and blog entries are one-time deals... you can never get them back... :( oh well, it's not like it was that great anyway... me complaining about being up until 2:30 last night working on a project... and getting very little accomplished... And I believe Purple Monkey Dishwasher was mentioned in there somewhere as well.... oh bother!

So tired... I was up until 2:30 last night working on my stupid project... it wouldn't be so bad, but I really didn't get much done... Some of my work got erased a couple of times (stupid microsoft trying to "help" me)... anyhoo... I'm just thankful for flex hours... oh yeah... one more thing... So, I slept in this morning... it's great! I LOVE flex hours... and the best part is, my boss was even later than me, so he doesn't know when I got here...hahha... I'm going to "try" to stay for a whole 8 hours... but... I've been having trouble doing that lately...
I also really appreciate the free food that they give us here... I didn't have time for breakfast... so I was starving... (I don't like missing meals!)... now I'm not...
I guess I don't have too much to say right now.. but I didn't want to dissappoint my loyal fans by depriving them of my wonderful blog entries! And, I'm spent....

Today at work is actually quite relaxing... I'm testing something, and so far, it's working the way it's supposed to... this makes me very happy because I was getting tired of things being wrong...
I think that I may be becoming slightly addicted to caffiene... athough it's through Coke instead of coffee.... It really seems to help me work a lot better but I don't like the idea of being addicted to anything...
I'd like to make this entry more funny, but I'm in kind of a mediocre mood... true, it's much better than my random miserable mood last night, but... whatever...

I'm incredibly restless today... not just physically... I think that there's going to have to be some sort of change in my life soon... maybe nothing major... maybe just hair colour or something... hmm... maybe I should re-consider the tongue-ring thing that I considered getting many moons ago... oh the winds, they are a changin'...

Did you know that China has more chickens than people? Apparently, according to the globe & mail, chickens outnumber people by more than 6:1... I think that, in itself, is frightening... shouldn't they be worried about a Chicken Revolution? The majority (Chicken) is being repressed by the minority (Human)... how much more can they take??? Or maybe it has already begun.... maybe the "bird flu" is simply the chicken version of suicide bombers...hmmm... there's a frightening thought....

ugh... dying... I don't understand... I got to work feeling ok... then suddenly I get this headache... and it's been growing... now it's making me feel kinda noxious... but I'm sure that anything that comes on this suddenly can't last... Just sitting at work, listening to CDs... I forgot how much I like the CD "Hit & Run Holiday" by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult... I know it sounds like some sort of psycho metal band, but this CD sounds more like... well... the best way that I can find to describe it is Lounge-Funk... it's really good! I hadn't listened to it in so long... I highly recommend it to all of my loyal fans...

I'm beginning to think that orange jelly beans are heavier (more dense) than other colours of jelly beans.... Every time they refill the candy machine at work, the first few times I get some out of it, the majority of them are orange (i.e over half)... but as time goes on, I start to get less and less orange... hmmm... why would orange jelly beans be heavier.... now THERE's something to think on!

Today has been astoundingly unproductive! I've been sitting around reading news articles and almost falling asleep... I actually got so bored that I read a couple of random blogs that appear on the "10 most recently published" list... My blog was listed there for the first time that I've seen today! YAY!
I noticed that in the settings for a blog, you can set it to "private"... if it's "private" then it won't appear in the so-called "directory".. however, I've never seen this directory... does it exist or is it just an urban legend... a myth created to teach us some moral lesson?

People are getting lazy... There are a few blogs that I read and they haven't been updated for a little while... I'm a little disappointed (even though I haven't updated mine for a while)... I guess they, like me, just haven't had much to say... I've been soooo tired for the last little while... not just my usual level of tiredness... oh no... it's more like almost falling-asleep-at-work tired!... It's not too much fun... I love sleep but I don't like being tired when I can't sleep.... anyhoo... that's about it....

I've been reading a lot about this "bird-flu"... They've killed around 50 million chickens (& other forms of poultry) so far and are likely to kill a lot more... I find myself wondering how this is affecting one of nature's other, bird-brained creatures.... the Tree-Hugger. Wouldn't tree-huggers around the world be mortified about killing poor defenceless birds in order to preserve some measly human lives? However, they've remained surprisingly silent on the issue... either that or the media have finally realised that whiny-hippie-types aren't newsworthy...
So I saw Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed last night... not so good... The first half was pretty good... Bridgette's character is really interesting and well-acted through the first half... Then they introduced the annoying character "Ghost" and the "special effects" started coming out... the movie started sliding downhill... although I did really like the last 30 (maybe less) seconds of the movie... It's possible that I might like the movie more the 2nd time I see it... but I'm not sure... I might buy it as a matter of principle when it comes out on DVD... I sure hope the 3rd one is better...

Me: "ok, this should work" (running a program)
Computer: "Nope, you suck!"
Me: "But it worked on this other board"
Computer: "Yes, but that one's different"
Me: "How?"
Computer: "I'm not going to tell you, or even give you a hint, I'm just going to sit here and not work for no apparent reason"
This is how my days at work go... argh!

I'm getting really sick of snow... actually, maybe it's not the snow itself, but all the dumbasses who can't drive with a couple cm's of snow on the ground! Shouldn't we, as canadians, be used to this by now? you would think that years & years of driving in this weather might have improved their winter-driving a little... but nooooooooo... it's "oh no! A snow-flake! Let's all drive at 10 kph and somehow still manage to crash!"... although, I suppose strategically planning your crash so that you don't completely leave the road, hence blocking a lane, is almost like a skill....

Good morning loyal blog readers! Today, I'm in a very mixed mood... This weekend was a good one with some ups and downs... some unexpected things popping out and unexpected people popping by... Have you ever tried to make yourself like something that you hate? It's very difficult... it involves arguing with yourself... I believe things like this lead to insanity... or perhaps insanity leads to arguing with yourself... touche, that's a pretty good point... thanks.... :)
